5. Editing a Macro

Basically, an Autowork macro includes three kinds of information - properties, variables and instructions.

You can edit all things for a macro in the VME (Visual Macro Editor). This is a cozy environment with various commands and resources for you to edit properties (), variables () and instructions of a Macro. You can also perform validation check, debug or run the macro. The macro will be loaded each time when you enter the VME by clicking the edit button in the Control Panel. You can choose to save and exit or abort editing before you exit VME.

Besides editing a macro in the VME in a visual way, you can also edit the script file directly () by Windows Notepad or any third party text editor. A macro can be password protected. If this macro is an encrypted macro (a password-protected macro), then the script file will not be in the form of a plain text file, you can then only edit it in the VME after you have input a valid password.
